I’m changing my domain name for this blog. You can find new posts here: http://www.copywritingdean.com

I decided Stephensblog.com wasn’t the best domain for my business. My name (Stephen) is kind of hard to spell. Many people spell it wrong. And it’s spelled differently than it sounds.

Ideally I’d move to StephenDean.com, but that domain is not available and likely not for sale. Apparently there’s a French artist with the same name as me who got it first. (I have emailed about it, but never got a response.)

So what to do…

CopywritingDean.com makes a lot of sense to me.

* It does have my last name in it “Dean.”
* It contains the keyword I’m targeting most.
* It kind of has a double meaning. Copywriting Dean, or Dean of Copywriting. You know?!
* And it better explains my site.

This site currently gets a lot of search engine traffic, and I don’t want to leave it all behind. So I’m going to keep it up for a while and see what I can do with the traffic.

Hopefully I’ll be able to build up links to http://www.copywritingdean.com quickly. If you already have me in your blogroll, I’d really appreciate it if you changed the URL to copywritingdean.com.

Please Leave A Comment If You Have A Blog…

I’m wondering how many of my readers have a blog. If you’re reading this and you do have a blog, will you leave a comment?

If you don’t have a blog, consider starting one. Blogs are a great way to start a business or generate traffic.

A great way to establish yourself as an authority is to have dozens and dozens of blog posts published to the web for visitors to read.

Plus Google loves content, so they love blogs. The more content you have the more search engine traffic you’ll get.

Whenever I start a new hobby, I start a blog with it. That way I can track my progress with the hobby, and I have a ton of content if I ever get to the point where I want to monetize that hobby.

Right now, in addition to this blog, I have a music blog and a wine blog. I keep both of them secret and don’t talk about them too much.

And I haven’t posted to either one in quite a while. But that’s OK, the content is there waiting for me when I come back. One day all that content I’ve compiled will be very useful. And if not, I’ll still have a personal record of the hobby if I ever want to go back and look.

I think I have some DVD’s that show how to set up a blog. Maybe I’ll give one away next week. In the meantime, it’s not hard. Buy a domain name, get a web host that uses cPanel, point the domain at the webhost and use cPanel’s auto-install to install Wordpress. Done!

Blogs are very powerful SEO solution. For example my blog is about how to create profitable business online. My blog is in spanish focused on spanish market.

According my website stats, members of my newsletter who suscribe from my blog are 2-3 times more favorable to purchase my products than any other origin.

Of course I have a blog. I have even recommended people read your book over on my Earning Money Online blog. One reason I don’t call it “making money” but “earning money” is that I recognize - as you do - that it takes effort.

But when it’s fun it’s nice to do, so I run a whole host of blogs in both Danish and English which I have made an overview of over at http://blunckmeister.googlepages.com.

I don’t have a continuous blog - can’t seem to keep the focus going. Maybe a blog on multitasking? I write to a lot of people. Am still back in the email age? I do have a blog or two on a site or two but have never gotten “into it”. Do I need software to make me blog everyday? Any of you have software that does that? Madi

Agree with you, Stephen. I started to write on my friendster’s blog. And I became aware of its benefits. So I decide to have a new blog, my own, which I will do it more seriously.
Anyway, here is my blog. The writings have various topics and are written in two language: English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Well I looked at your blog mate but what are you going to blog about? It seems a tad vague.
How long have you been doing this by the way?
You seem to have a few comments but what is the theme of your blog going to be? I always thought that important.
Mine is merely the opinions of an older Australian.
And usually consists of politics…at this moment of course it is about the new American President
I have never thought of making money out of blogging it’s a thought I guess.
I didn’t find this a friend sent me the link one Madlyn Creekmore, so decided to comment.
Sadly Madlyn never even looks at the links I insert in my blogs such a waste really as those links tell much more than a referral point.
